LIC: Children’s Storytime and Workshop with Sandra Jávera

Join us for a special storytime and art workshop with Sandra Jávera at Book Culture LIC on Saturday, April 14th at 11:30am!
There will be an opening party on Friday evening, followed by a children’s reading and art workshop on Saturday at 11:30am. Readers of all ages are welcome to attend! It’s a great opportunity to learn about Jávera’s art and an exciting new children’s book.
Sandra Jávera was born in São Paulo, Brazil and since 2012, she has lived in New York City. She likes experimenting with different materials and working with a variety of projects and clients. Her main interests are illustration for children books, architecture, home goods, and the creative process in general. She has experience working with children’s books and editorial illustration, textile and wallpaper design, architecture representation and graphic design. Her background is in architecture, and she enjoys exploring tridimensional objects with ceramics and sculptures, and thinking of spaces and places through drawings.
