In April, we noted that a BP at 21-17 Jackson Avenue closed.1 When we stopped by last week, we saw that a rendering had appeared on site, calling for the removal and replacement of the existing UST system, as seen in the photo below. According to a work permit approved in March 2018, the closure is related to replacing underground storage tanks:2
PROPOSED REMOVAL OF (4) EXISTING 4,000 GALLON UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANKS (USTS). INSTALLATION OF (1) 12,000 GALLON UST AND (1) 12,000 GALLON COMPARTMENT UST CONSISTING OF (2) 6,000 GALLON COMPARTMENT WITH ASSOCIATED PIPING, ISLANDS AND DISPENDERS.
