The area under the Court Square subway station nearby the Court Square Diner at the corner of 23rd Street and 45th Road has been less than ideal with the amount of bird droppings. Recently, the MTA installed spikes on the rails as a deterrent to the pigeons, as seen below. The photos come courtesy of the Court Square Civic Association, which lobbied the MTA for the remedy.
