Brick House Ceramic Art Center will open its doors to the public for their Annual Holiday Sale on December 7, 8, and 9. Over twenty local artists, both professional ceramicists and devoted hobbyists, will be presenting hundreds of their best handmade pottery work for sale at accessible prices for all the art lovers on your holiday gift list.
As an added treat, BrickHouse will simultaneously be hosting a gallery exhibition of selected works from talented BrickHouse students.
BrickHouse Ceramic Art Center, a fully-equipped facility in Long Island City, was founded in 2007 by artist and businesswoman Ellen E. Day. BrickHouse welcomes anyone interested in the clay medium, from novices to professionals, and offers them a clean and comfortable space to create.
BrickHouseregularlyoffers year-round pottery classes to adults at all skill levels, hosts visiting artist workshops and international pottery tours, presents handmade pottery for sale, and acts as a nurturing and creatively energized home to dozens of independent ceramic artists.
Though BrickHouse maintains a selection of studio artists’ work in their foyer gallery shop year-round, the Center’s Holiday Sale transforms the entire 4,000 square foot workshop into an eye-catching exhibition of world-class (and highly Instagrammable!) art pottery made in array of styles and clay bodies. Skilled craftspeople will be on site to discuss their work and sell unique, one-of-a-kind art pottery, dinnerware, jewelry, sculpture and more.
