Demolition complete at 27-19 Thomson Avenue

The last time we stopped by 27-19 Thomson Avenue, we saw that a construction fence had been erected at the former site of Manny’s Auto Electric Corp at 27-19 Thomson Avenue.1 A permit was filed with the DOB back in July to demolish the one story building.2 When we stopped by last week, we saw that the building has been knocked down, as seen in the photo below. Eventually, a 10-story mixed use building will rise in its place containing 23,012 of residential space and 5,039 of commercial space.

LIC Post was the first to spot the permits back in September.3 Here’s more details from them:

A total of 30 units are planned for the site, with most floors holding four apartments each. The first two floors and down to the cellar, meanwhile, would be reserved for retail space. Other features of the building include a recreation room, a third-floor terrace, and a roof terrace.
