This Sunday, imagine the abolition of cash bail during a full day of conversation, music, and teach-ins with clothing line Telfar and non-profit advocacy organization Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights.
The program features speakers including Emily Bazelon, Hannah Black, Pedro Hernandez, Tourmaline, and Jackie Wang, performances by Standing on the Corner and Total Freedom, and teach-ins by Bronx Defenders, Court Watch, and Mass Bail Out, among others.
Presented in conjunction with the exhibition Redaction: A Project by Titus Kaphar and Reginald Dwayne Betts as part of a series of programs inviting writers, poets, and public defenders to confront the abuses of the criminal justice system in the United States.
