Starbucks is opening a second brick-and-mortar location in Long Island City at 42-10 27th Street.
Signage for the new location went up back in early April, and recently, construction crews took down a plywood fence that had previously covered the windows to reveal the interior, as seen in the photo below.
“Starbucks is always looking for great locations to better meet the needs of our customers, and we’re happy to confirm that we will be opening a new location at 4210 27th St. in Long Island City, NY this summer,” a Starbucks spokesperson said in email to The Court Square Blog. “This location will employ approximately 20 partners (employees).”

The coffee spot is only a small portion of the retail space of the building. It is part of a 110-unit, 18-story building with 81,424 square feet of residential space and 8,645 square feet of commercial space.2
