Permanent signage has appeared for “Little Chef Little Cafe,” which will open later this year at 5-43 48th Avenue.1
The new cafe will feature a full coffee program, smoothies, acai bowls, fresh salads, and prepared meals, among other items.
“My husband (Steven Beteille) and I are really excited to be opening this very special and unique outlet,” owner Diana Manalang said in an email to The Court Square Blog. “We are residents of the neighborhood and are excited to bring our little cafe to our neighbors.”
Their existing business, Little Chef Little Kitchen, which has been featured at No. 1 on ‘Dine With a Local Chef in New York City’ on TripAdvisor for 2018 and 2019, will continue to handle meal prep service and catering requests.
Manalang is aiming to open the business by the end of October.
The cafe will take over for Greenpoint Fish & Lobster Company, which closed after a three-year run in the retail space in August.2
