Construction is underway for the future home of Yumpling at 49-11 Vernon Boulevard.
The Taiwanese restaurant is planning for a winter 2019 opening, and work is well underway, as seen in the photo below. Signage appeared for the eatery back in October.1
Yumpling began in 2016 at the LIC Flea, and features award winning rice bowls, pan-fried dumplings and sandwiches. Read more about the new eatery on their website.
It will take over for Desi-Bowl, which closed earlier in the year.2

We’re keeping all the truck menu items but we do have plans to add a few items. Our menu will never be a large one as we feel it’s best to focus on a few things that we feel we can do really well. Among a couple of additions, beef noodle soup and vegetarian dumplings will finally be making an appearance and that’s something we’re really excited to be doing.
