A rendering has appeared and work has started for a new residential project at 40-44 24th Street.
According to a permit filed back in 2015 and approved in 2018, construction will “ADD 4 STORIES TO THIS 2 STORY WAREHOUSE AND CHANGE THE USE OF THE BUILDING FROM A WAREHOUSE AND CONVERT IT TO RESIDENTIAL.”1
The project, which is expected to deliver in winter 2021, will contain 29,707 square feet of residential space and 9,755 square feet of retail space.
At one point, the building was home to a company named Spectra Fabrications, which is now based in Bedford, NY.
