For a relatively small neighborhood with fewer restaurants than some neighboring hoods, we sure do have a fair selection of Mexican/Tex Mex cuisine; Skinny’s Cantina, Corazón de Mexico, Casa Enrique, and the Creek and the Cave. There’s a an exciting newcomer to the scene — Top Quality, who landed in Court Square, earlier this summer with one of the largest outdoor spaces in we’ve seen.
In addition to a cafe and cocktail lounge, they offer tasty and inventive tacos you assemble yourself, that include excellent vegetarian options like smoked cauliflower and grilled haloumi cheese. Meat eaters and traditionalists will appreciate the chicken tinga, carne asada, and salt + pepper shrimp selections.
Closed Mondays. Sun, Tues-Thurs 10a-9pm. Fri + Sat. 10a-10pm. tq-nyc.com
So exciting to have this open…completely out of the blue! And in an area of town largely bereft of restaurants, no less. Unfortunately John Brown is bowing out though 🙁
